The Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE), Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong, invites schools to participate in two structured, research-backed assessments designed to support evidence-based teaching and learning in the digital era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Why Participate? <\/h3>\n
\n

As Hong Kong\u2019s schools navigate the digital education landscape set out in the Blueprint for Digital Education Development in Primary and Secondary Schools, understanding students\u2019 actual digital and AI competencies has never been more important.<\/p>\n

These assessments offer schools a structured, independent view of where students stand \u2014 and a clearer basis for planning teaching, professional development, and school-based digital education strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

About the Project <\/h3>\n
\n

Digital Literacy Assessment (DLA)<\/h4>\n

Built on the internationally recognised European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp), the DLA evaluates students across five core areas:<\/p>\n

    Target group<\/strong>: Primary School Students (P5\u2013P6) and Secondary School Students (S1\u2013S3)

    AI Literacy Assessment (AILA)<\/h4>\n

    Developed in alignment with the OECD and European Commission\u2019s AI Literacy Framework for Primary and Secondary Education, the AILA assesses students across four competence areas:<\/p>\n

        Conduct the assessment<\/strong> \u2014 Students complete the assessment individually at a time that suits your school<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Receive your school report<\/strong> \u2014 Gain insights to inform your school\u2019s digital education planning<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The study has received ethical approval. An informed consent statement is included at the beginning of each assessment.
